Maria's place in Mirkovo, a village 2 hours east Sofia. Maria is an 82 years old workaholic woman. She still makes her own soap, cheese, jam and pickles and may find a bit of time to initiate you to the art of goat milking in between her church bell sounding duties. Photos by Lucile Demory.
