work by artist Timothy Atticus. Atticus has worked with everything
from paint to plastic bags, but pleather is the dominant medium of
this series. Pleather is not celestial. Pleather is visceral. Atticus
sews the flesh-colored flaps into sculptures and hangings full of
orifices and cavities dripping with...universal values. The works in
pleather are complemented by paintings and by photographs of the
intercourse between people and pleather."
