This weekend I came across the work of French artist Lyndie Dourthe. She creates beautiful, poetic - yet at times unnerving objects out of textile or paper. Her embellished eyes remind me of those bejewelled lockets people kept to remember their loved ones by. They were common in Georgian times and always featured one of the lover's eyes.
